When David Kapuku left the Democratic Republic of Congo for Conrad High School in Northeast Dallas, he could speak only French. Now he speaks English — and he volunteers as a school guide for new refugee students. “I’m gonna be there to help other people, like refugees,” David says. “I’ll be there to help them.” Learn more about David in this video.
